Review

The second volume in Astralwerks' Paris Is Sleeping-Respect Is Burning series includes 11 breakbeat-disco tracks from mostly European producers, with a few remixes sprinkled in for those in the know. For instance, the summer 1997 anthem "Music Sounds Better with You" by Stardust gets redone, as does Deejay Punk-Roc's "My Beatbox" (by Les Rythmes Digitales), Romanthony's "Do You Think You Can Love Me," Mysterious People's "Love Revolution" (by Mood II Swing), and even Norma Jean Bell's "I'm the Baddest Bitch" (by Motorbass). Elsewhere, the compilation hits good tracks by Catalan FC ("Private Number") and We in Music ("Penthouse"). ~ Keith Farley, Rovi
