Parnell Dickinson (born March 14, 1953 in Brighton, Alabama), nicknamed "Paydirt", is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the seventh round of the 1976 NFL Draft. He played college football at Mississippi Valley State.
Professional career
Dickinson's only season in the NFL was 1976 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers expansion team that failed to get a single regular season win, and was the first team in NFL history to not win a regular season game, ending the season at 0-14. Dickinson made several starts that season, but was hampered by injuries, eventually suffering a season-ending knee injury during a week 11 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
