parotid duct

The excretory duct of the parotid gland; it passes lateral to the masseter muscle and enters the oral cavity through the buccal tissues adjacent to the maxillary first and second molars.

The duct of the parotid gland opening from the cheek into the vestibule of the mouth opposite the neck of the upper second molar tooth. Also called Steno's duct, Stensen's duct.
