Sports Science and Medicine: participatory modelling

A coaching technique in which a model helps an athlete to perform a skill successfully. The athlete first observes the model perform the task, Then the model assists the athlete to perform the task successfully, not allowing the athlete to fail. Participatory modelling is used to promote strong feelings of self-efficacy.
