Paso de las Duranas is a barrio (neighbourhood or district) of Montevideo, Uruguay. It shares borders with Belvedere and Sayago to the northwest, Lavalleja to the northeast, Aires Puros to the southeast and Prado to the south. It is home to the National Museum of Anthropology[1] and to the Museo de la Memoria,[2] which is dedicated to the history of the fight of the Uruguayan people against the repression of the dictatorship. In its Easter side it also contains the northmost edge of the Prado park, where the former building of the Sociedad Nativista has been transformed by the city to a museum[3].
