Pastiche

Pastiche describes a literary or other artistic genre.

Pastiche may also be:

• An album by the musical group The Manhattan Transfer
• The performer of "Sonic Boom" from the Sonic the Hedgehog CD
• A brand of kit car
• A fictional languague in the science fiction novel The Languages of Pao

The Italian form of the word, pasticcio, also refers to a popular dish of pasta baked with minced meat sauce and white sauce or, sometimes, with dough. It is broadly similar to lasagne, but made with round pasta, e.g. ziti, spaghettoni, vermicelloni etc.
