The talented pianist William Bolcom interprets five rags by the great (if underrated) composer James Scott along with the absolutely fascinating "Pastime Rags Nos. 1-5" by Artie Matthews. There are a lot of beautiful themes to be heard on this LP and Bolcom plays each of the pieces flawlessly and with sincere feeling.
