Personal life

Lauzon was born in Montreal, Quebec.

Dubreuil and Lauzon married in August 2008.[1] On December 24, 2010, Dubreuil gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Billie-Rose.[2]

Career

Lauzon initially took figure skating classes to improve his hockey skating.[3] He took up ice dancing at the age of twelve.[4][3] Early in his career, he competed with Chantal Lefebvre.

In 1995, Lauzon teamed up with Marie-France Dubreuil. They captured the gold medal at the Canadian National Championships four times and competed at the Winter Olympics twice. They were forced to withdraw from the 2006 Winter Olympics after Dubreuil suffered an injury. They recovered to win the silver medal at the 2006 World Championships in Calgary.

They started out the 2007 season strongly by winning the Skate Canada event and NHK Trophy events, which qualifies them for the Grand Prix Final. They ended their year just as strong, capturing their second consecutive silver medal at the 2007 World Championships in Tokyo.

Dubreuil and Lauzon took the 2007-2008 season off and skated in ice shows. They announced their retirement from competitive skating on May 20, 2008.[5]
