Biography
American character actor Pat McVey had several seasons' worth of stage experience to his credit when he made his film bow in 1944. Though he seldom rose above the supporting player ranks onscreen, he had better luck on television. From 1950 to 1954 he starred as crusading newspaper editor Steve Wilson in the long-running TV series Big Town. Patrick McVey's later video assignments include the syndicated Western Boots and Saddles (1957) and the San Diego-based cop drama Manhunt (1959), in which he co-starred with Victor Jory. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
