The Patriot Center is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Fairfax, Virginia, on the campus of George Mason University. It is home to the George Mason Patriots basketball team. Annually, it attracts more than 450,000 visitors with more than 120 events, ranging from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and concerts including Oasis, The Beach Boys, David Bowie, Ricardo Arjona, REM, Muse, and The Killers.

In 2005, the Patriot Center was ranked number 51 in ticket sales worldwide by Pollstar. Since its opening, the Patriot Center has hosted more than 7.6 million visitors attending more than 2,400 events.[2]
Renovations
In July 2006, the Patriot Center began to undergo $10 million in renvovations to the main concourse, rest rooms, concessions, event and arena storage, entertainer dressing areas, athletic team locker rooms, and support services. The renovations should be completed by October 2007.[3]
