Paul Calandra is a Canadian politician. He was elected to represent the electoral district of Oak Ridges—Markham in the 2008 Canadian federal election. He is a member of the Conservative Party. For eight years, from 1995 to 2003, he served as the chief of staff to Steve Gilchrist, the provincial MPP for Scarborough East.[1]
He was also a federal Canadian Alliance candidate in Scarborough East in the 2000 election, losing to John McKay.[1]
In June 2009, he introduced a private member's bill to have the name of his electoral district changed to Markham—Stouffville—Oak Ridges—King, a name he described as being more fully representative of the riding's geographic territory.[2]
