Paul Murray

Murray, Paul (1947- ); poet. Born in Newcastle, Co. Down, and educated at St Malachy's College, Belfast, he entered the Dominicans in 1966, teaching in Tallaght, as well as at UCD and Rome. Ritual Poems (1971), Rites and Meditations (1982), and The Absent Fountain (1991) combine meditation and enthusiasm in the act of prayer. He has also written The Mystical Debate (1977) and T.S. Eliot and Mysticism (1991).
