Paulskirche
Paulskirche, a neo-classical Lutheran church in Frankfurt/Main, built between 1789 and 1833. Circular in plan, it was used in 1848 for the sessions of the Frankfurt Parliament (see Frankfurter Nationalversammlung). Hence the name Paulskirche is often used to denote the Assembly itself. The church, damaged in 1944, was restored in 1948.
