Law Dictionary: Payment Into Court

The payment by a party of a sum of money or other subject matter of a lawsuit into court for the duration of the lawsuit. The court disposes of the money or other property as the parties agree in their settlement of the lawsuit, or in accordance with the court's judgment. Fed. R. Civ. Proc. 67.
