Payoff (Amount)

The remaining amount of a Loan, including any Prepayment Penalty.
Example: On the date of sale, the seller's Lender was telephoned and asked to state the payoff. The lender was wired the exact amount at Closing so that the Lien could be released and the Title allowed to be transferred.
