pendular motion

Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Email

The regular swinging or oscillating movements of a body suspended from a fixed point. A form of pendular motion is exhibited in running. It is very complex, not only because it consists of three links in simultaneous rotation and translation, but also because it depends on the speed of other links in the kinetic chain, and on external forces and their torques.
