Biography
Not long after Emperor Hu Hai's ascension, an uprising began, led by Chen Sheng and Wu Kuang. Xiang Liang and Xiang Yu from Jiang Dong, Ying Bu from Po Yang and Peng Yue from Yu Je all joined the uprising against the Qin Dynasty.
In the fifth year of Han, Peng Yue an Han Xin failed to meet with the army of Liu Bang at Guling, to hit a final blow at Xiang Yu, and he only did so after being rewarded with fiefs. Liu Bang rewarded him following recommendation of Zhang Liang. Peng Yue was given the land from Suiyang north to Gusheng to stimulate his advance. They finally converged at Gaixia.
Popular culture
Peng Yue is one of the 32 historical figures who appear as special characters in the video game Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI by Koei.
