Penn Engineering & Manufacturing is a real clincher! The company's largest division, PennEngineering (PEM), is a leading specialty fastener manufacturer. Penn Engineering & Manufacturing sells through independent distributors and has manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, and North America. It was founded in 1942 by K. A. Swanstrom, the former president of WWII war baby Elastic Stop Nut Corporation. A unit of Tinicum Capital Partners acquired the company in 2005.
