Pepito Manaloto is a ground breaking and award winning comedy reality sitcom and a live situational comedy created by KB Entertainment Unlimited, Inc. and Michael V. for GMA Network. The series premiered on April 4, 2010. The show premiered on April 5, 2010, one week after its original premiere, on GMA Pinoy TV. It ended on March 25, 2012 on its fourth season. due to the other casts may had an another work to busy or rest-out including Michael V. for his shooting entitled "Boy Pick-Up The Movie" and his comeback variety show "Pare & Pare". However due to a lot of feedback requesting the continuation of the show, it was announced that the supposed end of the show on said date was only to be the finale of the fourth season, but they decide to make a special edition will air on April 8 before Party Pilipinas at the same year.

The show stars Manilyn Reynes,Joshua Pineda Carmina Villaroel and Michael V. in the title role whose "simple and underprivileged life significantly changes when he becomes the lone winner of P700 million in the national lottery". It has been dubbed as a reality-sitcom.[1] Though it is almost impossible to get P700M on a single lotto ticket, it actually happened on Nov. 29, 2010--a winner took home P741.1 M, which is more than Pepito's P700M.
The first season started on March 28, 2010 which focused on showcasing the adventures of the Pepito Manaloto and his family who are all still quite unaccustomed to the life of luxury and excess that they now have to enjoy after winning PhP700 Million from the lottery.
On November 21, 2010, GMA Network announced that the show has been renewed for the second season which followed Pepito Manaloto buying the business of the del Valle's because it had financial problems, towards the end of the season, Elsa (played by Manilyn Reynes in the show) got pregnant.[2]
The show was in its third season from July 2011 to November 27, 2011. The show's focus in its third season was the Manaloto's life after Elsa has given birth.
The show started its new season, its fourth season, on December 4, 2011. The show will now focus on the Manalotos' lives after 5 years, with Chito growing up as well as previously baby Clarissa, their new home and new characters that will be introduced as the series goes.
Carmina Villaroel's character in the story is said to travel to the US to manage her father's business on the January 8, 2012 episode. However, in real life she is making a network transfer back to ABS-CBN, the all-time rival station of GMA.
On April 8, 2012, it recently made their special episode entitled Sarap Balikan:A Pepito Manaloto Special aired in a morning block. it features about the replay between the pilot and final episode, after the pilot episode they feature their evolution life (middle part) including their new house,new faces of the Manaloto family then Pepito making their achievements, then they gave their second child Clarissa plus they grown-up Chito and they traveled to Singapore. plus it followed the final episode after that, the had several bloopers with credits and pictures.
The series will be released onto DVD-format by GMA Records. The DVDs will be in volumes, there will be succeeding volumes as the show progresses.[3]
