The Beverage

Pepsi Wild Cherry is made by blending carbonated water with sweetener and flavored syrups.

Availability

The drink is available only in the US and Lithuania, illegally available for a higher price in UAE. It was available in the UK in 330ml cans and 2 litre bottles in the late 1980s, under the name 'Cherry Pepsi'.

It is available in all standard sizes, including; 12-ounce (355ml)cans, 20-ounce (591ml)bottles, 1-litre bottles, and 2-litre bottles.

Branding

Pepsi Wild Cherry in its 2005-2009 design; cans and bottles continue to use this design as of December 2009

Prior to 2005, the product was known as Wild Cherry Pepsi. The re-branding came about due to a change in formula used with a slightly altered taste.

The logo was slightly changed in 2007, as the "Pepsi" script, in the case of Pepsi Wild Cherry, was slightly moved up above the globe. This design, however, was only found on the boxes that carried cans, 1-, and 2-liter bottles, as the 20-ounce bottles and 12-ounce cans still carried the original 2005 design.

In October 2008, Pepsi announced they would be redesigning its logo and re-branding many of its products by early 2009. In 2009, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max began using all lower-case fonts for name brands, Mountain Dew has been rebranded as "Mtn Dew", and Diet Pepsi Max was re-branded as Pepsi Max. The brand's blue and red globe trademark became a series of "smiles," with the central white band arcing at different angles depending on the product. The new imagery started to be used. In the case of Pepsi, the logo has the medium-sized "smile", while the new lower-case font is used.

It has been expected that Pepsi Wild Cherry will adopt the new logo on cans and bottles; however this has not yet occurred as of December 2009. But the diet version uses the new logo as does the regular version on new soda fountains.

The current Pepsi Wild Cherry logo (2009-) is shown on a sticker at a soda fountain at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. As of December 2009, this design has yet to appear on cans and bottles.
