Perfect Dark is a series of video games developed by Rare, novels written by Greg Rucka, and a comic book created by Eric Trautmann. The series is centered around Joanna Dark's battle with a megacorporation called dataDyne. The series is set in the near future from 2016 to 2023.

Perfect Dark Zero release
Perfect Dark Zero, a prequel to Perfect Dark on the Nintendo 64, was originally meant to be released on the Nintendo GameCube, but, when Rare was sold to Microsoft, Rare redesigned it for the Xbox. It was not finished in time so it was finally released on the Xbox 360.[citation needed]
