Slang for perchloroethylene or tetrachloroethylene, chemicals used in dry cleaning that are highly toxic and may easily seep through a floor into the ground and contaminate the groundwater.


Example: When performing an environmental assessment for a shopping center , the engineer was careful to check for perks at the dry-cleaning store’s site.
