Persa (‘the Persian’), Roman comedy by Plautus. The subject is the deception of a pimp, to whom a Persian sells a beautiful Arabian captive. But the Persian is in fact the parasite Saturio and the captive is his daughter; he has agreed to the deceit for the sake of a good meal.
