Persepolis Orchestra

Persepolis Orchestra, also Melal Orchestra, is a Persian Symphony Orchestra. Renowned Iranian (Persian) musician, Peyman Soltani, is the Orchestra's chief conductor.

The orchestra is formed on the basis of the interaction between two musical cultures, namely Persian instrumental music and church music of the 18th and 19th century. Melal Orchestra consist of more than 10 Iranian instruments and more than 10 kind of strings and accompaniments from Europe.

Persepolis orchestra involves 70 instrumentalists (60 melodic instrumentalist and 10 accompaniment instrumentalists) and a Chorus.
