Biography

The guitarist for the Church, Peter Koppes released a solo album in 1988, as did fellow Church members Marty Willson-Piper and Steve Kilbey. Manchild & Myth showcases the singer/songwriter's guitar and keyboard pop; the album also includes an Australian-only three-track EP, When Reason Forbids. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

Peter Koppes (b. 21 November 1955) is a guitarist and founding member of Australian independent rock band The Church. As well as his contributions to The Church, he has also released several solo albums.

Koppes lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland where he also produces albums and teaches songwriting. He is the father of O Koppes and Neige Koppes who have their own band, The Kicks (formerly known as Bright Red).
