Peter Luder

Luder, Peter (dates unknown), an early humanist, led a restless and stormy life. He was in Heidelberg in 1431, visited Greece, studied in Italy, and returned to Heidelberg in 1456, whence he was expelled in 1460; thereafter he appeared in Erfurt, Leipzig, Basel, and Padua. Luder castigated the barbarism of medieval Latin, advocating a return to the classics.
