Porter Michael Peterson (born June 17, 1976 in Gainesville, Florida) is an American football linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played college football at Florida.
Peterson has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is the older brother of Chicago Bears running back Adrian N. Peterson.
College career
He played collegiately at the University of Florida starting 24 of 42 games posted up 249 tackles, 3 force fumbles, 13 tackles for a loss and 8.5 sacks and was named to Associated Press All-SEC first-team.
Personal
Peterson is the older brother of the Bears running back Adrian Peterson and cousin of former NFL wide receiver Freddie Solomon. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Chantal and his son Mike, Jr.
