French family of architects and writers. The most important member was (1) Marie-Joseph Peyre, who exerted a powerful influence on the Neo-classical movement in France. His younger brother (2) Antoine-Fran?ois Peyre and his son (3) Antoine-Marie Peyre followed in his footsteps, working for the establishment in Paris, including the royal court.
