Pheochromocytoma is a rare tumor of the adrenal glands that
produces adrenaline. There are approximately 1,000 new cases of
pheochromocytoma tumors in the United States each year.

If a pheochromocytoma is suspected, urine and/or a blood test
are usually recommended. A test called "24-hour urinary
catacholamines and metanephrines" will be done.
