Phil Schiliro

Phil Schiliro currently serves as Assistant to the President and Special Advisor in the Obama Administration. From 2009 to February 2011, he served as Assistant to the President and Director of Legislative Affairs for President Obama. [1][2][3]. Previously, he served as Democratic Chief of Staff for the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and as chief of staff to Representative Henry Waxman.[4]

Schiliro was also on the advisory board for Obama's presidential transition team.[5]

Schiliro is a graduate of Hofstra University and Lewis & Clark Law School, where he was Editor of the Law Review. In the early 1990s he ran unsuccessfully for a Long Island congressional seat.[6]
