Philiphaugh, is an area in the town of Selkirk, in the Scottish Borders

Originally referred to as the land owned as part of Philiphaugh Estate, the name is today more commonly used to describe the most southern parts of Selkirk, most of which is now privately owned, including Philiphaugh rugby ground, home of Selkirk Rugby Club and Selkirk Cricket Club site of the Battle of Philiphaugh in 1645.

History

On September 13, 1645, at the height of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, Philiphaugh was the site of the Battle of Philiphaugh.
