Phuoc Long province
Phuoc Long is former province of Dong Nam Bo region in South Vietnam. It was formed on October 22, 1956.
History
- On January 23, 1959, a part of the Phuoc Long province was split to form the Phước Thành province.
- On July 24, 1961, Phước Hòa district was dissolved to establish new district Đôn Luân.
- In 1965 Phú Giáo District of the Phước Thành was dissolved into Phuoc Long Province.
- In 1976 Phuoc Long province was merged with Binh Duong and Binh Long to form new province Song Be.
