Pierre Le Baud

Le Baud, Pierre (fl. 1480-1505), produced the most important medieval history of the Duchy of Brittany in 1480 (Croniques et ystoires des Bretons, BN, MS. fr. 8266; incomplete edn., 1907-22). He was encouraged to revise it by Queen Anne. A presentation copy was completed by September 1505 (British Library, Harleian MS. 4371; first edn., 1638; full modern edn., 1986).
