( fl 1497-1530). Brother of (1) Antonio de Saliba. He is documented only twice: in Messina in 1497 and in Genoa in 1501. He is thought to have travelled to Venice with his brother in the early 1490s. His extant oeuvre includes a Virgin and Child with a Donor (sold Florence, Sotheby's, 1975), a Virgin Adoring the Child (Venice, S Maria Formosa; replica, Padua Mus. Civ.) and a Christ at the Column (Budapest, Mus. F. A.). Like his brother, he was chiefly inspired by his uncle Antonello and by Giovanni Bellini and Cima da Conegliano.
