According to a survey conducted by International Maritime Bureau, Indonesia is the most piracy-prone country in the world.[1] More than half of pirate attacks in the world take place in South-East Asia. Straits of Malacca are very prone to piracy.[2][3] Most attacks in Indonesia are carried out for ransom.
