Pittwater is a body of water extending south from Broken Bay, New South Wales, Australia parallel to the coast.
It was named in 1788 after William Pitt the Younger by Governor Phillip.[1]
It gives its name to:
- Pittwater Council.
- The Electoral district of Pittwater.
- Pittwater High School.
