Overview

Planet Michael was to be based within the Entropia Universe. The Entropia Universe is a 3D internet virtual environment with an integrated economic system. [1]

Martin Biallas, CEO of SEE Virtual Worlds, has stated that "game play will focus on Jackson's dance moves and adhere to his credo of nonviolence, a departure from other online multiplayer games such as "World of Warcraft." The game will also allow for charitable contributions." [2]

About the Developer and Publisher

SEE Digital Studios AB and SEE Virtual Worlds, LLC are divisions of Special Entertainment Events, Inc. (SEE), based in Los Angeles, California. SEE is an entertainment company focused on creating virtual world video games as well as touring attractions.[3]

Founder and CEO Martin Biallas first moved to the United States in 1975 as an exchange student during his last year of high school. He attended the University of Michigan[4], and later moved to Hollywood, California in 1982.[5]

He formed an international entertainment company specializing in securing American talent for international tours. He later expanded the company’s focus to include European stars, most notably German film actress and singer Hildegard Knef. Biallas also partnered with Woodstock co-creator Michael Lang to create Bi-Continental Management, a talent management agency encompassing a roster of talent including Tina Turner, Liza Minnelli, Joe Cocker, Duran Duran, Barry White, Eartha Kitt, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, Shirley Bassey, the Pointer Sisters, the Beijing Opera, the Bolshoi Ballet and Nena. [6]

Biallas's company began incorporating touring exhibitions in 1996 when he worked with Paramount Pictures to promote and organize the 30th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise across the United States and Europe.[7] The company then went on to create the Titanic Movie Tour in 1999.[8]

In 2009, SEE expanded into the virtual realm of video games with the creation of subsidiary SEE Virtual Worlds.

In late 2010, SEE Virtual Worlds and Universal Pictures announced the development of a Universal Monsters MMOG, that will bring classic Frankenstein, Wolfman, The Mummy, Dracula, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and other monsters of the past up-to-date. Players will act as Van Helsing and track down the villains in their lairs. In regards to the partnership, Martin Biallas has stated that "partnering with Universal allows us to revive the horror genre for the 21st century by introducing timeless film franchise characters into an interactive platform.” [9]
