Playboy Records was a record label in Los Angeles, California, and a unit of Playboy Enterprises. Artists recording for the label included Barbi Benton, Blue Ash, Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers, Brenda Patterson, Jeanne French (unreleased Breakfast In Bed lp), Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds, Ivory, and Mickey Gilley, and Joey Stec. It was also the first US label for ABBA that released their first three US singles under the name "Björn & Benny (with Svenska Flicka)". Another notable LP is "Hudson", by The Hudson Brothers. The label was originally independently distributed and towards the end of its life, Columbia took over distribution. The label would be relaunched as a jazz label distributed by Concord Records.
