Plumbers Don't Wear Ties

Games: Plumbers Don't Wear Ties

  • Release Date: 1994
  • Genre: Adventure
  • Style: Interactive Movie

Game Description

In execution, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is more like an interactive photo album, than the risqué adult adventure it purports to be. Composed of still shots backed by some of the worst voice acting to never come out of Capcom, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties has you placed in the role of a motorcycle riding plumber trying to win the affection of an affluent daddy's girl. You accomplish this by making a series of choices in-between the game's non- interactive story sequences. The target audience will be quite disappointed by the lack of any real nudity, and everyone else will simply be aghast at the fact that such a poorly made game was allowed to be unleashed upon humanity.

Plumbers Don't Wear Ties was an adult graphic adventure game released for the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer in 1994. It was produced by Kirin Entertainment.

The game casts the player as a plumber trying to woo over a woman. Gameplay consisted of a series of still photographs with audio clips of characters talking, followed by occasional player choices on story direction. The choices determined whether or not John, the man, would win over Jane, the woman. More often than not, the choices would be wrong, and the game would force you to sit through another round of choices. This game was touted as an FMV adult game, however the only video was in the beginning, and simply involved about 30 seconds of Jane talking to the player. There was a code to turn off the black "censor" bars, but it only revealed part of Jane's nipple, some of John's pubic hair, and John's naked bottom. The game never gained widespread popularity and is often considered to be an example of a poorly designed video game.
