Pokrovsk (Russian: Покро́вск) is a town in the Sakha Republic, Russia, located 70 km south of Yakutsk on the Lena River at . Population: 10,092 (2002 Census).
Founded by the Cossacks in 1682 as Karaulny Mys, later became selo (village) Pokrovskoye. Granted urban-type settlement status and renamed Pokrovsk in 1941, town status since 1998.
