Polly Horvath (born 30 January 1957, Kalamazoo, Michigan) is an American-Canadian author of children's and young adult novels.

Horvath grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has been writing since the age of eight. She attended college in Toronto as well as the Canadian College of Dance. She lived in New York and Montreal, before settling on southern Vancouver Island in British Columbia.[1]

Horvath's novel Everything on a Waffle was a 2002 Newberry Honor book. The Canning Season won the 2003 National Book Award. She once declared: "I don't have that much fun writing them. I have the most fun when I'm on the last page."

She is married to Arnie Keller. They have two daughters, Emily and Rebecca.

Horvath's next novel, Northward to the Moon, will be published in February 2010.
