As permissible in Islam, polygamy is legal in the mostly-Muslim nation of Kuwait. In Kuwait, nearly 8 to 12.5% of all marriages contracted are polygamous.[1] Statistics on polygamous marriages in Kuwait are hard to come by, but it has been reported that polygamy seems to be "on the decline" amongst "the younger generation".[2]
