Polygamy: What Love Is This? is a live, phone-in talk show program broadcast weekly on KTMW - TV20, an independent religious broadcaster in Salt Lake City, Utah. Programming began on June 12, 2008, and continues weekly on Thursday nights at 8:00 PM (Mountain Time).[1] The program is hosted by Doris Hanson,[2] a former member of a Utah polygamist community.[3]
The subject matter of the program focuses primarily on the history and modern manifestation of polygamy and Mormon fundamentalism, from an evangelical Christian perspective.[citation needed] The host's principle platform is that the Bible does not support the teachings of Mormon fundamentalism.[4]
Polygamy: What Love Is This? is produced by an evangelical Christian ministry, A Shield and Refuge Ministry.[2] The stated objective of A Shield and Refuge Ministry is to assist those seeking to escape a polygamist lifestyle.[5]
