Ponte de Sor (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpõt(ɨ) dɨ ˈsoɾ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 839.7 km² and a population of 17,593 inhabitants.

The municipality is composed of 7 parishes, and is located in the District of Portalegre.

The present Mayor is João Taveira Pinto, elected by the Socialist Party.

The municipal holiday is Easter Monday.

Economy

The economy of the municipality is based in agriculture, services and light industries ranging from food to light aerospace industry through a facility of France-based company Dyn’Aero.
