Ponte de Sor (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpõt(ɨ) dɨ ˈsoɾ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 839.7 km² and a population of 17,593 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 7 parishes, and is located in the District of Portalegre.
The present Mayor is João Taveira Pinto, elected by the Socialist Party.

Economy
