Pontiac is a municipality in western Quebec, Canada, in Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais Regional County Municipality on the Rivière des Outaouais (Ottawa River). It should not be confused with the Pontiac Regional County Municipality, which borders Pontiac (but does not include it). Pontiac has a low cost of living and is trying to attract new immigrants coming to Canada to improve the local economy. It has high French, German and English populations. The unemployment rate is 11%. The region's only hospital has a low amount of doctors.
Pontiac is located within Canada's National Capital Region.
