Background
Pope John Paul II opened in 2007 to serve the residents of Cape Cod. Not only open to young men and women of the Catholic faith, but Pope John Paul II is open to young adults of all religions. It is located in the former Barnstable High School in downtown Hyannis. Extensive renovations have taken place and still need to be taken place in some parts of the building. [2] The Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League play every summer at McKeon Park, which is located behind the school. Major renovations have already taken place, such as a weight room, full-length lockers, classroom redecoration, a top-of-the-line chemistry lab, and . The soccer team's record is 6-5, and the golf team is 4-3. Plans for a swim team, basketball, sailing, tennis, baseball, softball, and track are in the works. will take place, along with student government. Currently, 38 freshman and 32 sophomores are enrolled.
