The Port Chester Metro-North Railroad station serves Port Chester, New York via the New Haven Line. The station is the last station on the line in New York before crossing into Connecticut. Port Chester is 25.7 miles from Grand Central Terminal and the average travel time from Grand Central is 53 minutes.

The station house was built in 1890 by the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad and is in the process of being restored.[2]

As of August 2006, weekday commuter ridership was 2,263 and there are 859 parking spots.[3]

Platform and track configuration

This station has two high-level side platforms each 10 cars long. The northern platform, adjacent to Track 3, is generally used by westbound or Manhattan-bound trains. The southern platform, adjacent to Track 4, is generally used by eastbound or Connecticut-bound trains.

The New Haven Line has four tracks at this location. The two inner tracks, not adjacent to either platform, are used only by express trains.
