post is a proposed generic top-level domain in the Domain Name System of the Internet. It was submitted to ICANN for approval as a sponsored top-level domain. It is intended to be restricted to the use of national and regional postal services[1] and private businesses that provide similar services. It is sponsored by the Universal Postal Union, an international organization based in Bern, Switzerland. As of July 2009, approval and implementation has not occurred, overshooting the original timeframe of 2005.[2]
