The potassium salt of aminobenzoic acid, one of the B group vitamins. It is used for the treatment of various disorders associated with excessive thickening or scarring of connective tissue, such as scleroderma, but its therapeutic value is doubtful. Potassium aminobenzoate is available as capsules, tablets, or sachets of powder to be dissolved in water; it can be obtained from pharmacies without a prescription.
