[poo-yee van-ZEHL] appellation that adjoins the better-known pouilly-fuissé ac in the mâconnais area of France's burgundy region. Its vineyards encompass the village of Vinzelles, which is southeast of the village of Fuissé. The wines are similar to but a bit lighter (and less expensive) than those from the neighboring Pouilly-Fuissé AC. The nearby pouilly-loché ac may also sell its wines under the "Pouilly-Vinzelles AC" label.
